Things that are bad to the bone

Here are the items that allow me to conenct a little with my dark sassy side.
Slip open in the front to show a little skin, and all studds in the back. Rock and roll ready!
Who can say no to a buttery soft leather sloshy bag with the golden squre studds throughout by Zara. Use it as beach bag or with basically everything in the summer to create a carefree yet sassy look.

BCBG Aurela Thumb Hole Knit High Low Fish Tail Dress. Yes!! It's freaking awesome. Can be worn as a gown, yet the thumb hole adds so much edge. Love it with the studded bootie and a gladiator belt. Spot the last one in this color for 40% off then another 20% off in the local store. This dress has seriouslly motivated me to do setups so my abs are in shape for it.

Things that are sweet to the core

Here are few things I have for this summer that's sweet, oh so so sweet to the core.
Aldo Legat Ankle Strap Flats. Also available in Black and Beige or Blue and Yellow Combo. I got the last pair of SZ 6! YAY

Zara Peplum Coral Linen Skirt. Simple and adds a punch of color for the summer. I pair with my beige cropped leather jacket or a washed out denim shirt to balance out the sweetness.
Zara really had a good season of collection. Almost everything that they carry is hard to resist. It was hard for me to spend $79.99 for this one considering it's 100% polyester. But I wore it to my recent Costa Rica trip, and the ways to wear are just endless. I wore it with skinny jeans, and a black tank top, a roped wedge (since I am only 5'3) and a hat. I felt I was a fairy (in a good way), the material is so light, and it moves as you walk... Definitely a statement piece! I then used it as a swimsuit cover up by the pool.

The List Go On

The list go on for every woman. And once they made it to the list, it's like your next goal in life to do whatever it takes to take it off the list so you can fill it with more. For now, this is my list. Small one and not so greedy.

1. W118 by Walter Baker -Milly Faux Leather Sleeve Trench Coat. Reminiscent of the Burberry trench right right off the runway. It's a fraction of the cost and looks edgy on!

2. Alexander Wang Emile Tote- Why it's $975 and made in China?

The rose gold detail is so gorgeous, and of course it's big and roomy just the way I like it.

3. Vintage Cartier Tank Watch with Leather Band

Ahhh, want it, love it, so classic and timeless. Use a cognac color watch band in the summer time to pair with roll up sleeve white loose button down shirt. Wide leg sailor pants or jeans then platform oxford pump! Of course perhaps the Alexander Wang bag above...

The Timeless Pieces Part I-YVES Muse

YVES Saint Laurent MUSE TOTE
I have been wanting to get this bag for some time now, and interestingly I found it from an unusual place. After been trying to work my bargaining hunt over EBAY, I realized, there are way too many counterfeit out there, it's almost not worth the shot. Anything too cheap or too good to be true, then you ran into those risks. Even ebay has great protection, still I feel going through the hassle is not worth it.

So I did more homework as I locked in on this bag... Next thing I know Bluefly have the large version at $1119 in black which is unheard of! But of course it's sold out. Then I stumbled upon the Oversized Dark Brown Muse at OVERSTOCK.COM. Yes overstock, famous for getting good sheets and other small furnitures. They are now carrying designer purses, Fendi, Prada and one Muse when I got there.

So I took the chance after reading the return policy. I ordered this bag.
Retail at $1650- it was on sale for 20% off, I have an OMAIL exclusive deal which gave me $100 off (can't combine with BigCrumbs.com's 4% rebate, darn!), then with the overstock credit card, it will give you $20 off the statement and 6 month interest free. Oh I am not done yet... Free shipping, and 12% reward bucks from Overstock and another 8% overstock reward credit from using their credit card. Last, I had $15 reward from my previous purchases. Every penny count and I was close to even do the lemonade and cookie stand to raise more money for my bag!

So as much as I still feel sinning to order this bag rather than putting the money into my Roth IRA, I am looking forward to receive it and cherish it for the rest of my life, if I do decide to keep it...

While doing all the research, I learned few tricks on spotting a fake YSL muse:
1. The zippers tell it all, the authentic YSL always have this Brass hardware with the vintage finish to their zipper pulls. In the back, there is the tired steps molding.
2. Serial number: oversize muse always contains 153959, large muse contains 156464
3. The hangtag and the key- key should be the vintage door key, and do not buy a bag if it misses it.
4. Always ask for the source of the bag. Avoid "it was given as a gift", or it's "vintage"
5. If anyone spends that much money including stupid me here, then they should all be smart enough to keep the dust bag and the authenticity card. Just like rolex without the box, it looses credibility and the resell value. And the card is always white.

By far, this is the one of the most highly resold bag, yet able to obtain up to 80% of its original value based on my research.

With this, I will move on to my Part II of the timeless pieces next time.

Emmy Award-Best dress 2011

I just have to rave about this fabulous dress by Lena Headey during the Emmy Award.

I feel it's really not so much of the dress, but the whole look that was presented by Lena. Her body shape made this dress even look more fabulous than the stock picture you would find from the Alessandra Rich collection. Her accessories were kept to the bare minimum, bold contrast earring and the clutch were all she needed to be just perfect. I love her jet black hair and matched with the smoky eyes and nude lips. I know people have been judging her on the Fushia Brain Atwood pump, but in my opinion, it was not a deal killer. I would definitely go with cobalt sueded pump to add a touch of color without being too off balance.

She made a statement that without the cleavage, thigh high slit or curves, you can still be rock sexy!

She looked majestic and reminded me so much of Audrey Hepburn.

Nautical is for Fall as well

 Trina Turk Striped Sweater
 Pink Tartan Sequenced Strip Cardigan
French Connection Striped Dress as Paris Hilton
 Zara Striped Elbow Patch Sweater
Pink Tartan Nautical Boat Sweater Jacket
I am not sure which part of my brain controls it, but I would naturally walk toward a stripped pattern every time I shop at the store. Strips is just so versatile if you play safe with prints and do not want to go crazy. And it goes literally with any solid color. The first sweater by Trina Turk is absolutely divine!

FALL COLOR BLOCK

The Color Block trend has been inspired by the Gucci Runway, and electric blue has been setting its trend strong from the spring and summer. The color itself is almost flattering on any skin tones. And you can touch the whole outfit with a RED/CORAL lipstick to make yourself even pop more. It's a bold color yet consist of a lot of classic elegance. Try adding a little bit of pink which will incorporate softness and flirt to your entire wardrobe. This hot pink front slit Zara skirt resembles the Celine fall collection that adds a little peek to your legs yet stays conservative. And in my opinion, every skirt or dress from now on should have 2 side pockets. Yes. Pockets!
